Enjoy 6 days safari in the Southern circuit of Tanzania covering Selous, Mikumi and Udzungwa national park. Enjoy game drives, boat drives, hiking, and waterfalls activities while overnight stay in mid range accommodations. Pickup and drop off in Dar es salaam.
Itinerary
- You’ll be collected from the airport.
- Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1:Dar es salaam to Selous Game reserve
Morning pickup at the airport or hotel in Dar es salaam and drive to Selous game reserve 6 hours drive. You will be taking you lunch during the journey, arrive in late afternoon in Selous check in the camp take a short break then leave for evening boat drive and overnight at African safari camp
Day 2:Game drive at Selous Game reserve
Early in the morning depart for 2 hours walking safari with Bushman(local guide) around Selous forest. Return for breakfast and drive inside the park with picnic lunches. Enjoy full day game inside the game reserve, great animal sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like hunting dogs and birds in the afternoon after lunch then proceed with the game drive until evening and overnight at the African safari camp
Day 3:Selous to Mikumi safari
After breakfast with your lunch boxes drive to Mikumi National Park 6 to 7hours driving, arrive late afternoon/evening with en route game drive in Mikumi national park you will able to see zebras, impala, giraffe and elephants and dinner overnight at Mikumi camp Bastian.
Day 4 :Mikumi to Udzungwa water falls
After breakfast from the lodge take 2 hour drive to Udzungwa mountains national park, upon arrival you will be taken with professional ranger/guide and take few hours(4 to 5 hours) hike to Sanje waterfalls, take bath if you will like, learn more about monkeys and birds. Return to Mikumi for dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian.
Day 5:Mikumi game drive
After breakfast with packed lunches drive to the park for the game drive activities. Enjoy game drive inside the park drive for full day game drive in Mikumi national park, expect to see herd of buffaloes, wildebeests, zebra, impala, antelope, elephants and many more while dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian.
Day 6 :Mikumi np + Masai culture then to Dar es salaam
Before breakfast see Maasai traditional then back to your camp, depart to Dar es salaam with en route game drive outside the park for 30 minutes and then depart to Dar es Salaam for 6-7 hours. Arrive in afternoon for drop off at the Ferry or Dar es Salaam airport.
