It said it expects to spend Sh150.03 billion to provide such loans for the academic year 2020/2021.
The list was released on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 by HESLB executive director Abdul-Razaq Badru about a week before the colleges reopened.
He said out of 47,305 students, 26,964 males or 57.37 percent and 20,341 females or 42.63 percent.
Badru said funds have already been sent to various colleges and urged students to get detailed information in the accounts they used to apply for the popular SIPA loan and prepare to go to college for enrollment.
“The government has given us money and we have started sending it to colleges. Our goal is to ensure that qualified students find the money in colleges where they will register and receive to fulfill their dreams,” he said.
