Sales Engineer At Spirax Sarco East Africa.
Responsible For: Generating sales of Spirax Sarco products & services from steam users and achieve agreed sales targets by consultative selling approach. Support installation, repairing and servicing Spirax Sarco equipment at customer site and in-house. Promote efficient use of steam to achieve energy savings and process productivity throughout industry by providing technical solutions, whether using new components or servicing existing equipment.
Reporting to: Sales Manager
MAIN TASKS
1. Visit customers on a regular basis to create product demand through Consultative selling
2. Reading technical specification, giving quotations, negotiating and closing the orders/contracts.
3. Advise and carry out suitable commissioning, service, repair or replacement of Spirax Sarco equipment to ensure customer satisfaction and understanding of our products.
4. To cooperate with local distributors and assist with technical knowledge transfer
5. Develop good relations and trust with customer base, focusing on key customer groups
6. Report on sales activity and actions taken in the field for continuous improvement.
7. Develop & attract sales opportunities to fruition.

SPECIFIC TASKS
1. Use CRM to plan, Nurture leads and Manage opportunities.
2. Generate visit reports and customer database details to enable sales growth through knowledge transfer and implementation.
3. Ensure thorough knowledge of Spirax Sarco products required for different steam using industries and applications
4. Assist customer with installation and commissioning of electronic controls, electrical and mechanical components.
5. Handle commercial and technical correspondence and create required quotations. Liaise effectively at all customer staff levels up to managing director level.
