- Go to NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Find myNSFAS at the top-right menu of the page
- Click on myNSFAS to create an account
- After you have created myNSFAS account, click on “Apply”
- Update all your personal details
- Ensure that you have all your supporting documents
- Upload your supporting documents (ID documents or birth certificate, your parents, guardian, or spouse ID, etc).
- Complete your application by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button.
All candidates will be notified of their application status by NSFAS. You must verify your application status for the 2021-2022 academic year on the myNSFAS Account Portal to see if you have been “Provisionally Funded.”
How to Check NSFAS Application Status 2022-2023
In order to check NSFAS Application Status for 2022, you must follow the simple steps below:
- Go to NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za/application-status
- Log in to myNSFAS account.
- In case you don’t have one, you have to create
- Enter your User ID in the space provided
- Enter the password you created during the application process.
- Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Status for 2022
Document Needed for NSFAS Bursary Application 2022-2023
- Your own cellphone number and email address
- A copy of your ID or birth certificate
- Copies of parents, guardian, or spouse’s evidence of income
- Copies of your parents, guardian, or spouse ID
- Proof of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable,)
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income.
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
- Applicant as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
