Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania (AKES, T), is a private, not for profit, service company registered under the Companies Act and operates three schools in Tanzania. The vision of AKES, T is to provide accessible, world class education, which prepares students to become self confident, open minded articulate and ethical young people with academic qualifications to enable them to make productive contributions to their own community and the wider society. AKES, T is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a group of private development agencies working to improve living conditions and opportunities for people of all faiths and origins in specific regions of the developing world.

PYP Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • The PYP Coordinator is responsible for providing information, guidance and administrative support to students, colleagues, the Head of School, and the community: and for the coordination of all PYP-related
  • The PYP Coordinator is the key person in the PYP and should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills: be IT literate: and have a strong sense of responsibility for the academic needs and personal welfare of A fundamental understanding of IB program requirements is essential.

Requirements:

Applicants should have the following qualification and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Education from an accredited college or
  • At least A years’ experience in PYP practicing and teaching in IB PYP classes.
  • Extensive understanding of (IB-PYP)standards and
  • Should have strong ability to support teachers in implementing the IB-PYP expectations through collaborative planning and lesson modelling.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all staff
  • Conduct parent information
  • Publish articles pertaining to the PYP in the school newsletter.
  • Prepare and circulate an annual analysis and feedback of PYP assessment results.
  • Circulate all relevant information received from the
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for authorization and
  • Act as the liaison between the school and the
  • Provide outreach to the wider PYP community through discussion forums, e-mail and school
  • Establish/maintain links with other PYP schools in the region.
