Our fifth African Confederation Cup group stage match against ASEC Mimosas played at General Mathieu Karekou Stadium in Benin ended in a 3-0 loss.

The ASEC hosts scored the first goal in the 15th minute through Kramo Aubin finishing off a cross from Oura Anicet from the right.

ASEC added a second in the 24th minute through Stephano Aziz Ki with a powerful left-footed shot past goalkeeper Aishi Manula.

In the 35th minute Manula saved a penalty kick by Karim Konate after he himself offended Kramo in the 18th minute. In the second half coach Pablo Franco replaced Mzamiru Yassin, Kibu Denis, Rally Bwalya, Jonas Mkude and Henock Inonga with Peter Banda, Bernard Morrison, Taddeo Lwanga, Chris Mugalu and Pascal Wawa who added speed and made us play calmly.

Konate gave the hosts a third goal in the 56th minute with a header finishing off a cross from right-back Kwasi Attohoula. In the 89th minute Manula saved another penalty kick by Oura Anicet following Joash Onyango fouling Konate in the 18th minute.
