This is how Simba closed 2019 year with fans credit cards
At the end of 2019 year, our Simba Sports Club in partnership with Equity Bank launched credit cards for fans for the aim of raising income of the club. The launch held at Sabasaba Commercial area, Temeke in Dar es Salaam City for two days, 14th-15th of December.
The aim of those cards was to involve Simba Sports Club supporters, stakeholders and fans in a modern system transformation of the club where fans would benefited from services provided by the club such as; buying tickets, jersey, merchandise and individual use and banking activities.
For a Simba fan to get card, he/ she must have 22,000Tsh , nation identity card or a voter identity card and being a member of recognised Simba supporters branch.
Also for those resides in rural areas or where there is no Equity Bank branches, we have given instructions of forming small group if no any Simba supporters branch or are already in Simba supporters branches to list their names for the cards request.
For those bank branches located near supporters, should go to supporters and supply credit cards where they are. This project has much succeeded in Iringa, Geita, Manyara, Katavi and Kigoma regions, where they are getting services in absence of Equity Bank branches.
The total cost of that card is 22,000 Tsh that divided into, 10, 000 as card cost and 12, 000 as annual fee. The first advantage of this system is, the club will be benefited by having 14, 500Tsh from the total cost, meanwhile the club will be benefited by 50 percent on every transaction that will be made after tax.
After launching activity that held in Dar es Salaam, some of club representatives went to Dodoma, Morogoro, Mwanza and later to Mbeya, Arusha and Zanzibar regions where there is Equity Bank branches to give cards to fans.
