Pablo Franco said, No margin for mistakes against Orlando Pirates

The head coach of Simba SC, Pablo Franco Martin has said there will be no room for mistakes when they face Orlando Pirates in the quarter final stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

Simba SC will host the South African side on April 17th before the return leg on April 24th.

Speaking after the draw conducted on Tuesday, the Spanish coach made it clear that Orlando Pirates are a big team that deserve respect. “At this stage there is no margin for mistakes,” he pointed out.

“They are also worried about the draw because they are facing such a good team as Simba. Both teams will try to play food football because at this stage all teams are good,” added Pablo Franco.

The Simba coach who has been with the Club for five months made it clear that they will have to be more accurate against Orlando Pirates especially in finishing.

“At this stage there will be few chances. This calls for us to be more reliable and competitive in both legs,” says Pablo Franco.

To reach the quarter final stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, Simba SC finished second behind Morocco’s Berkane in Group D.

Simba SC are the only team from the CECAFA region that have reached the knockout stage in any of the CAF Club competitions in the 2021/2022 season.
